I've been a full-time trader for seven years, with "Trader Ferg" being a Twitter account and blog I created during the Covid lockdown. I have a particular style of hunting out the most hated sectors in the market, which I’ve found is where the most upside hides.
This publication is a running journal of my thought process and framework for making money in the markets. I'm constantly seeking out people smarter than me to dive deep into sectors I'm interested in and red team my views.
I've had the good fortune of being mentored by a successful hedge fund manager who has instilled in me a set of investment heuristics he's honed over his career. An example is "How to position yourself to get lucky", which usually involves positioning with asymmetry (optionality) in sectors you can’t bring up at diner parties and BBQs. Recent examples are thermal coal, uranium, offshore oil services and tin.

What's the Price of Trader Ferg and What Do I Get for It?
Trader Ferg subscribers get one weekly video or writeup. These can be me reviewing a trade/investment thesis or interviewing people I find interesting (fund managers, traders and experts) in areas I'm researching/investing in. My goal is to provide you with insightful content that helps you improve your investment process and make money at the end of the day.
Sounds interesting? Here's how to get it:
Trader Ferg – subscribe at the primary level for access to weekly videos and writeups ($280/year or $28/month)
Trader Ferg Pro – the Pro level adds a monthly "ask me anything" session, exclusive longer-form interviews (often with my mentor) and a regular deep dive writeup. The is also a Discord for answering questions and posting timely trades I'm putting on/trying to get filled in the market. ($650/year)
Can I Try It Before I Subscribe?
