I’m assuming you’ve read my “Why Oil is a Fat Pitch Here” prior to reading this since I’m going to be tackling the question of where is the additional oil supply going to come from?
Ferg Have you heard of DOF Group? I just came across them, they have just done a restructuring in June this year of (I think $US2B) debt. Almost 4000 staff They are a global OSV company with approx 90% utilisation rate and 54 vessels. John Frederiksen was a big part of the restructure. I think they relisted at 28 Nok and it's now around 38. From what I can gather that gives it a MC approx $US675m (160m SOI).
Thanks for the article Ferg, lots of good insights. Am keen to learn more...is your 25% special only on annual membership? My preference is a monthly, but couldn’t see a discount applied there although I might be missing something.
Hi Ferg - I have signed up for your paid service. To repeat the question (a different way) to those below, I assume that you will disclose individual names in your articles once behind the paywall. (Great piece BTW). Cheers John
Hi Ryan, yes first video is a portfolio review and digging into these names and a number of others I have my on my radar. It will be released later today.
I look at those 4 charts and see some of the stuff that crosses my radar. As possibly the smallest fish in the sea those kinds of lines are speaking my language.
The great aspect of these tiny companies is they are so uncorrelated to the board market or even the sector. Their was a point recently where XES (oil services ETF was down 20%) while my little basket of these was up 15%.
Great article Ferg. On the producers, I’ve been looking at South America. Ecopetrol and Petrobras look dirt cheap, but keen to get any thoughts / comments.
Thanks for this - How can we find out the names of those 4 tiny off-shore companies?
Hi Brandon, I'll be digging into them and a few others in the portfolio later today.
Sweet!

Damn, how did I miss that they relisted a few weeks ago. Thanks for pointing it out!

Hi Kimberly, thanks I appreciate that. Yes sorry 25% discount is only for the yearly plans.
Thank you for clarification 👍🏼

Hi John, yes digging into them and a number of others in todays basic/pro video and writeup. Will send it out in a few hours.
Thanks Ferg.
Can you report back here if that’s true. Because that would get me to sign up. That investment alone would pay for his annual fee
