I remember when The Narrative was how wonderful the Chinese system was, how it was great that they could just decide things, and make them happen. No pesky voters, process, elections ... none of that. The global big shots wrote about it in all the usual publications, including The Economist.

Then in 2015 Xi unequivocally told Them that no, they weren't welcome come over and introduce the 'American System' (after America had been completely hollowed out by globalism) into China, and they could go piss up a rope.

Since then the coverage has been almost uniformly bad. Great post and great link. That Epsilon piece is a fantastic reminder.

"Why am I reading this now?" is such a good question to constantly keep in the back of your mind. Also, that chart about renewable energy was fascinating. Thanks for sharing these finds!

if you ever watch any Zeihan on Geopolitics , wow he sticks the boot into china every second. In ten years they are finished etc ?????? how ever i dont believe his "every thing is moving back to the US. For that Australian and state Governments if china fails , we are screwed . 45% of Australia's income come from china ??? if i remember correct from a crux piece ...............cheers
